As an apology 3 more success stories from last week in Germany, all about ordering holidays.
1) My own one. Or no, not my own one. It was my kids (5 year old twins) ordering against me. For 3 years we have been to a camping site in Italy each summer. This year we wanted to go to a camping site in Kroatia with friends. We booked two caravans next to each other. This kids did not like it at all. They wanted back to Italy and they kept complaining about it. But Italy was full anyway, there was not even a single free caravan, let along two side by side. So Kroatia it was. That was what I thought until last week.
Our friends have 4 children and I wanted to ask if they have a baby bed for the smallest. So I called again. And guess what: Our reservation and booking was gone. It was not there in the computer any more. I could not believe it. We had booked it last year in October and now it was March. Everything was full there now too. No chance to get anything.
I was really shocked in the first moment. But then I thought: "Wait a minute... That can only mean that right this very moment someone has cancelled their bookings at our favourite camping site in Italy!" I called immediately and indeed some people had cancelled and there were now two free caravans available just next to each other.
I know this was an ordering from my twins. It wasn't me. I would have preferred to see something new but they are overjoyed now to go back to Italy!
2) A friend of mine has a 19 year old daughter and she has a new boyfriend. The mum is very happy with the new boyfriend. She did not like the old one at all.
But that old relationship had lasted for many years. So to make sure she really sticks to the new one (he is really sweet, if I was 25 years younger, I would like him tooJ) and to strengthen the relationship she ordered a holiday for the two youngsters from the cosmos. She has 3 children and she lives alone with them and does not get a penny from the father. She could not just buy a holiday for them, so she ordered one.
Just a week later a friend called. He had been somewhere where he was visitor number 10,000 or something and visitor number 10,000 got a free holiday for two including flight and accommodation. But he did not want to go. He passed it on to my friend who passed it on to her daughterJ.
3) One of the teachers of our children (from Kindergarten) thought two weeks ago: "Why do I never win anything? I want to win something at least once in a lifetime. I know Barbel, it should work now. So, dear cosmos, I order to win a journey." She said she never took this order serious, it was just said out of a funny mood. But a week later she did indeed win a journey. Only problem: It was a journey to Turkey for one person and she has been there so often, she does not want to go again. Now she keeps grumbling: "Why didn't I take it more serious and order a journey for two and to a place I really want to go to? I never thought this would really happen..."
